Ok so I have a big presentation to give for a class....and my professor is kinda anti-powerpoint so I was wondering if anyone had any creative ideas on how I can do a computer run onscreen presentation thats not powerpoint? Only thing I can thing of is Director.....any ideas anyone? and don;t say keynote my laptop is a turion not an ibook

OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/) is a great free office suite that includes a presentation application. It offers many of the same features as MS Office and is compatible with the MS file formats.

Failing that you could make a presentation in flash or something of the sort.

Swish(my favorite. So quick and easy), Flash, Moviemaker, etc...

iWork for the mac :) Mmmm, I love it :)

Other than that, OpenOffice is fairly nice.
