Submersable pump resavoir

After several trips to local hardware stores in search of the perfect resavoir for my new water cooler, I found the answer sitting right next to me. I was looking for something that I could sit my 600 gph submersable pump in along with a little water. I cound the perfect container: The case around my CD spindle! It is the perfect size! The spindle even unscrewed from the bottom of the case, and now I can run tubes through it perfectly. I just sealed it with silicone, and am working on a fill pipe with a cap on it. I'm modding a hole in the top of my case for this nozzle to stick out of. It's the top of a 2 liter coke bottle.

Is that cool or what? :D

I always look for stuff around my room and dorms before I go out and buy parts for projects. Saving junk normally comes in handy :)

Aye being a pack rat does come in handy at times...

Ive done some searching around when I was building my rig the first time around. My only concern would be that the plastic on those dont seem to strong... But it could be just the ones that I have gotten so far, different brands might be made differently..
