I would like to know if successfully secured an RMA request for Intel processor and after the defective or damaged chip is returned and the new replacement obtained as on the spot by delievry agents, then assuming that the RMA chip wasn't really defective or had been intentionally "lapped" & resulted malfunctioned and will Intel claimed back the new proceessor that has been received already as the RMA has been alerted to be voiding Intel 3 yrs warranty??? Did anyone encounter such voided warranty roughly described as above & what is the consequences? Thank you.
If they received the "damaged" chip and you have already received a new one, I doubt anything will happen. Intel has a depot in Louisville, KY that deals soley with returns/replacements and there are thousands daily.
Otherwise, I would say they would go after creditors for payment.
It's my understanding that when they accept an RMA then it is a done deal. You have a legally binding contract for warranty service and if they accept your claim, it is over with.
