I deciden to get a 7800Gt this time (upgrade from my 9800pro) and I must admit I am one of the many who likes to mess around with the tech demos.

I downlaoded the MadModMike and Luna demos for the nVidia, and they are pretty impressive (moreso Luna), but why doesn't nVidia have anything as cool as the ATI demos? Toy Store and Ruby demos are fantastic, and technically much more impressive than the latest nVidia demos.

If you were to judge cards by simply playing these demos you'd swear the ATI cards were quite a bit more powerful than the nVidia.

I know the 1900 series are the top right now, but those ATI demos are from the 1800 generation. Too bad we can't run them on nVidia cards.

Sometimes theres ways to work around the demos to run them on other cards. I know I could run the 6800's demos on my old X800Pro. It didn't look as impresive as it did on the nVidia cards from what I saw but its possible.
