I've been wanting to go peltier for some time now but living in a rural part of South Africa, 3hours from Johannesburg, it's not possible to find anything close to an overclocker-friendly store near here. Where would I be able to purchase a peltier? There are a number of big hardware stores and a few places that sell industrial stuff for farms etc but I don't know of anywhere that sells HSF's, radiators etc. Anyone know at what sort of place I could find this stuff??

Try to do a search for electric surplus stores. Here is a search:

Since you live in South Africa, you'll probably have to do international ordering. The only place I'm sure that will do international shipping for what you want is www.dangerden.com. The shipping will probably be fairly expensive, and I'd guess it would take about three-four weeks for you to get it

Thanks for the replies guys... I was hoping not to have to order int. cos of the exchange rate being ZAR9.5 = US$1. (Thats about R6000 for a good OEM system D800,64MB,10GB,14",Sound etc).
Looks like I'll need to go high end water cooling won't I? If anyone has plans for a easy DIY waterblock (have some ideas+plans but want more maybe) please mail them to me?
Thanks a lot
