Random mouse freezing

My mouse pointer keeps freezing every so often for like 2 seconds. It happens about every minute or less. It happens in games too so I think it is the OS. I ran McAfee and no viruses was detected. I don't know what else it could be.

It might be a crapped out mouse, or a flaky USB controller.

Post a screenshot of your Task Manager, or a Hijack This! log.

Is this the part of task manager that you are talking about?

After reading your first post I took a look at my mouse pad and that thing looks awfull. I think that could be the issue because I am using the desk and it hasn't happened yet.

Clean your mouse pad, then?
