Does xp64 recognize 4gb ddr?

I read that there are issues recognizing 4gb. Has anyone tried 4gb?

xp 64 bit should have no problem with it .. can you provide a link to where you read this ?

The x64 Edition of XP initially supports up to 128GB of RAM and up to 16 terabytes of virtual memory... whereas the 32-bit version of the OS only supports up to 4GB of physcal RAM (excepting the Server 2003 Enterprise Edition which supports 32 GB of physical RAM, and Server 2003 Datacenter Edition that supports up to 64 GB of physical RAM).
