Hello, im currently preparing to sell my laptop, iether on ebay or at school...

i have an asus z71v, quite common around here if i remember.

Anyways, over the last year mine has taken some pysical abuse and has several scratches to show for it. Rather than just fill in and paint over the scratches, im considering doing a complete body mod for my laptop.

Voodoo PC has the same laptop available (for something like 3X the cost, heh) with what looks like a modified shell. I could probably do something similar with some epoxy to fill in the little tracks, and some nice paint.

questions: What kind of paint? i want something that looks good, sands well, and will take well to a clearcoat ontop.

Also, what kind of clearcoat? i was thinking of getting some of that paint that bonds to plastic and using a primer, that, and a few clearcoats... i have to admit im not too experianced with paint, but i have taken this laptop completely apart a few times.

lastly, what color? there are so many options, ive basically decided on a black or something close too it... but im not sure.

thanks for the input!

Send me private mail and I can paint it for you if you take it apart. Painting anything takes time skill and the tools to do it right. I have them all as I am a pro custom painter. No it wont be at voodoo prices either.
