Maybe I won't wear out my welcome early with all these questions. :)

I have Driver set to Normal priority processing 1 WU at a time. As I said before, I'm often away from home for days (as will be the case this week). Is there any benefit to setting my priority higher or setting the number of simultaneous processes higher? And if so, at what point do I lose speed due to too many running?

Also, is there some option that I've not yet found with Driver (or Spy) that will allow me to see my WU history (processing time for each, etc)? And would this show information from Berkeley or only what I've completed using Driver (or Spy)?

Sorry for all the questions. I'll leave you guys (and gal) alone sometime. :(

Well, I don't use Driver, but your times will decrease slightly from setting it to a higher priority. But not by much. If you're not there, you might as well set it higher because it can't slow it down any...

Running multiple instances of SETI without multiple CPUs will increase your times greatly. If you have two running on one CPU, your times will more than double, and thus basicly slow down your WU production.

There is a log in SETISpy (I do use this!) that will let you see what you have completed. It is updated everytime a WU is finished, so it is according to your computer and not what Berkeley says. Go into the Results section, and click View Log. This will show you recorded info about your WUs.

yup. u can view ur WU "history" in SETISpy. and i check it quite often too. just to see how my computer(s) doing, am i being lucky getting lots of high ARs :D , or getting bunch of low low ARs  . and the best is if i did some tweaking/upgrade to my computer, i'll use it to see if the tweak/upgrade help, u know, it's quite useful....;)

as for the priority, well, there's really not much difference....IF u r not touching ur computer! i check/tested this option already by monitoring the task manager to see if the SETI will give my computer more load in difference priority setting.

btw, hey, there's never too much questions!! just bring it all out, i'm sure all the guys and gals (hmm....never thought of i'll "need" to type this way before....:p ) in here will try to answer it for u!! ;)

Thanks for the help. I'm about to set my cache for the coming week and I'll just let her run at normal. Thanks!
