Is there some software to help you identify what all those weird filenames are in the task manager? i saw that wintasks 5.0 does just that, but i don´t like the feel of the site "BUY NOW MONEY BACK GUARANTEE GET FREE SOFTWARE WITH OUR PROGRAM" sound like scam . . .

Identifying windowsXP processes

Just google each of them. Usually you can find a site that will tell you who they are from, and what they do. Many of them are recognizable by their filename. Like NAVAPSVC.exe = Norton AntiVirus Auto Protect SerViCe.
