I am trying to figure out where to place the 3 pc's, the router, server, and the huge printer.
My dad just got DSL at the office so keep that in mind.
Right now the 3 pc's are sharing over the router and not hooked up to the printer.
Do I want:
DSL Modem -> server -> router-> 3 PC's and printer?
Or a different layout?

Keep everything inside your router, it acts as a firewall in a sense.
DSL Modem -> Router -> everything else.

Ok just making sure, thanks for the confirmation.
Whare are you going to use the server for? If you're going to do external serving you might look into putting it on a DMZ. (Should be an option for most routers) Is there anything special about the printer? Just a regular networked printer?

The server is just a file server to store the documents and such for work. The printer is just an uber fancy network printer/scanner/fax thing.
Sounds like you're good to go then.

Doesn't happen to be Muratec branded does it? A muratec 1300 or 2830 perhaps?
