Ok, I found this abit odd.

I'm running win2kpro sp4.

I am finishing up building of a basic HTPC, all is working great, everything that I want installed is, and then I update the BIOS.

No problems, all goes smooth. No complaints. Except for the floppy logo in My computer. Before the BIOS update, it didn't show me as having one installed, as there isn't one. If I uninstall it, it just reinstalls on the next boot-up.

Is there a way to have this item not show?

HAH! I think I just solved my own problem. I can disable it in Device Manager and the icon goes away. Nifty. :santa:

Check in the BIOS and make sure that under floppy you have it set to none. Or else it will keep showing in windows.
