just found out that the second revision of the return to castle wolfenstein demo is out and am currently downloading. It is not a patch for the first demo but a full download. I guess its the same map as the first but with some new features. I cant wait till I can buy this game and start Fragging U nazis on some other terrain. I'm getting pretty tired of this beach landing map.

DL'ed and played it, seems to be running MUCH better, its still the same map tho :(

thx. Its comming in at a relatively slow 50Kps (3 segments w/ cable) but it'll be here eventually.
I'm getting it at just over 50KB/sec. While waiting for Star Wars Episode 2 Trailer from Fileplanet! w00t!

Test 2 is pretty cool...although I wish they hadn't moved the Medic's health packs further down the number scheme. I was in the war room trying to heal myself having just taken out 3 nazis, and it switches me to the grenade instead of the health pack!! I was frantically hitting the normal keys and I ended up dying :(
A funny thing about it, though, is the fact that engineers now have to arm the dynamite...I had just gotten into my first server, and was playign as an engineer right after spawning, laid the dynamite next to the wall on the right side, and stayed back, waiting to see if anyone would jump the wall to disarm it. Then another engineer ran up, and I thought he was disarming MY dynamite so he could score some points! "Nuh uh!" I said, and blasted him with my thomson. *oops*

I was wondering why some servers wouldn't let me in, I have to get this version. And what's with everyone wanting to shoot Germans?? They need all the help they can get! Don't you watch the history channel??? :D

Stupid effen universe! I had 30kb. I didn't like that amount so I tried on my backup machine (it's been faster in the past for some unknown reason) got 20kb with it so I went back to my main one, now I'm getting 15kb!

You can change the the function of the numbers as well as all movement, fire etc. go into limbo mode and click 'controls' and adjust the keyboard and mouse to your liking. I like to have my left/right keys be Q and E-it just feels better and my fingers are closer to switch weapons. You can also toggle thru weapons/gear with the scroll on the mouse instead of the #'s. I also like to change my crouch to the left mouse button for easy access and sniper view to tab. This just works better for me w/o having to reach so far with my fingers.

Hey I'm full blooded German but I just get psyched when I watch Band of Brothers on HBO and Easy Companys victories in WWII. "they didn'st need rescuing" in the battle of the bulge!.
Well anyway back to subject at hand-I guess some servers are running the old test demo and some the new. Since they are two different version they are incompatiable. Thats how I found out there was a new version. Tried to log on and kept getting 'server using version..."

The link psoted here was incorrect. I used it and an hour and 10 minutes later had me a second copy of the first demo. The second demo can be found here (http://www.3dgamers.com/dl/games/returnwolfenstein/wolfmptest2.exe.html), among other places. www.castlewolfenstein.com has a list of download places but the one I just put up was the fastest at the time I downloaded. 46k here while others were between 8k (ugh) and "wait yer dahnm turn!" speed (double ugh).
