OMG, I really wish you people didn't mention CIV3 being out. I didn't know about it being out until you just told me. Now my bank account is going to get smaller and my study time will be cut dramatically.:(

It's very cool. The diplomacy has been improved greatly. For example, now you can trade resources (strategic and luxury) for $ (lump sum or per turn pmt) or for techs, cities, etc.
You can use dip to create trade embargos.

Strategic resources are VERY IMPORTANT. If you dont have Iron you cant get out of the bronze age. Without Aluminum you cant build most of the modern hardware like tanks, missiles, space ship, etc.

Up to 16 rival races (that I know of). I do have the game.:D

You can't play Civ 3 the way you did Civ 2. The same strategies from Civ 2 won't work very well.

Lots of changes, however it plays pretty much the same as Civ 1+2 as far as unit movement and building stuff.

Also your Worker (terraformer) units increase or decrease in efficiency depending on your gov type.

You can build ARMIES! (gotta have a 'Leader' to do that tho').

Lots of new cool stuff in this version.

BUY THE GAME.

Is it as good as Alpha Centauri or Civ2?
