Fairly Cheap motherboard for P-D 805?

Ok guys, I have been an AMD guy for a while, even though I technically own more intel computers than AMD(all the intels were free, I payed for the AMDs :)), and I am building a new computer soon. Now I was planning on going with a 3200+, but then I saw the 805, and saw how well it was overclocking, and now I want to go with that. But being an AMD guy, I dont know that much about what intel chipsets are good and exactly what can support it. I am looking for something under $100(hopefully), that has PCI-E and DDR2, and that will let me overclock this fairly well. I was looking at the AsRock 775Xfire board, becuase it was fairly cheap and is made by Asrock, which is a division of Asus. I dont really care if the board has SLI/Crossfire.

The best overclocking chipsets are the Intel 955/975. A 945P (not PL) would work for your purposes but they tend to not overclock well with the 9xx series. Not sure if it is really the chipset or just the boards that use the chipset are of a bit lower quality than the 955/975 counterparts.

I would suggest upping your budget $20 and considering the AL8-V Abit a practical minimum. I've got an Asrock board in my microATX media machine now, I don't really recommend them. They can work, but you can't count on it. And I certainly don't recommend them for overclocking.

I completely forgot that the 805 is a 533FSB part. The 945P chipset will do well with that but if you were to go with a newer 9xx, it may hinder your overclock.

The Abit AL8-V is a very good board. I had it and it did very well. The PWM IC's got very hot, they need active cooling. Otherwise, good solid board.

For just a little more, you could get the Abit AW8. I have one and like it. Overclocks pretty well. Just make sure you update the BIOS right away.
