I think using sanding blocks will work great wont they? From what I've sanded it was perfect, it was even and smooth and you can use them wet/dry so what do you guys think about using sanding blocks? on a scale from 1-10 what do you rate them?

Not quite sure I follow... sanding blocks? and for what exactly? If your wanting for the side of a case, all you really need is a straight peice that has little give way... But Im presuming you already know that...

Does one actually purchase a block for sanding? While this might be a good idea for lapping a CPU/GPU or HS(assuming that large perfectly square and true blocks of plastic are available for this delicate task)wouldn't a block of wood be sufficient for sanding a case?

Presuming that it is square yes... However its not always so... Now as far as generic wetsanding you can get a sponge type deal that works great I have one and it is used on cars all the time...
