Houston, we have a problem. I installed a new P4 2.0 GHz today and the BIOS reads the temp at 33-37c. When I installed the Asus Utility it shows the temp at 57-70c. YIKES. I tried to re istall the Probe, but got the same results. Any ideas what is going on. Which one should I look at for a clear reading? Seems logical to me that the motherboard wouldn't post such a low number if the chip was on fire? You thoughts please. Thanks

By the way the OS is Windows XP Home Edition

I haven't had any problem with Asusprobe, but I've heard many people who have. I recommend the free Motherboard Monitor 5 (http://mbm.livewiredev.com/). Most people here use it. Asus Probe is definitely giving you some funky numbers. Most CPUs should shut down in that range of temps.
