dell inspiron 9300 network problems

Yea, so I am trying to fix this network problem with a dell laptop. Every time I connect a network cable to the laptop it says "cable unplugged." I tried to re-install the network card drivers, and I also tried different cables, and routers. I just dont know whats wrong with this? Is it maybe a hardware problem? There arnt any lights lit on the nic itself either.

If there aren't any NIC lights, its probally broken. If it is any help, mine did the same thing...

yea thats what i thought, i called up dell and they said the would replace it.
