Been busy for a while (long while), thought I would get someone to 'Annie' up on the best proc these days [Not the cheapest, or bang for buck] -Anyone with chip numbers? From 3.2 to 3.6 & the series. *Shucks* why not ;)

I'm not asking for a mobo type, that's been decided for awhile. But I'm also behind the curve ball on DDR, so add that in on an ABIT mobo; as DDR is still mobo specific manafactured for function via the BIOS.

Cheers
PS -Ta, in advance

There are a bunch of new CPUs coming out soon that are in the high-performance range, like conroe and the new Preslers coming out in april. Basically everyone is into the dual core thing , and for memory DDR2 is the thing to have atm

Intel 955XE it the top dog if you have a cool $1000+ to blow on a cpu. DDR2 is your only option for that proc...as brands go you'd problably get the nod for Mushkin from most of the folks in this forum.
