i got a dell insprion 6000 and i have the SD reader on the side. My question is if i get a SD card and use it for a swap file/ hibernate drive will that give me any improvments? has anyone tried this ?

Well, how fast is the reader and will windows allow you to do that?, I think I have a 1gb mmc at home which I can plug into my laptop, then I'll see if it will allow me to select it as a swap drive.

it will be WAY slower... plus you have to get one that's at least as big as the amount of ram you have... I have 2gb of ram and the hyberfil.sys file is 2gb weather or not i'm using that much ram because it captures an imprint of all of the memmory not just what is in use.
