Looks like ATI responded pretty fast to the 7900 launch.
If that weren't after rabate, I'de be all over it.
Rebate form expires 3/15.

dang! $400 AR is wicked.
thats so sweet i would be on this in an instant if i didnt have a xt already, for $475 a xtx ! I paid $475 for my xt but it does 705/850 on stock coolidge at least without pushing hard so i am happy.
Wow, $400AR... I woulda bought it and used it at that price... NO JOKE!
But... do'nt think this is "ATI Answering"... I thought that the vendors decide the pricing... lol. How could ATI answer same day the 7900 launched? They'd have to sell more to the vendors at a cheaper price, but that doesn't mean that the stock that vendors currently have were bought cheap.
Basically, the vendors are doing the price drops now. There's no way ATI sold another batch of cards to a vendor the same day and had it shipped to them the same day, stocked, and all...

this transaction is weird. i got a call from my cc to verify the transaction i made today, and they said i was charged by micro center instead of monarch computer. are they related some how??? :shrug:

that's what i thought at beginning, so i asked the rep to repeat the name again. for sure it's micro center or micro something. it's definitely not monarch computer, cuz i ask him that's the store and he said no. but the charge did match my order price. so i m going to wait and see tomorrow.
