IIRC, there's nothing wrong. A network bridge is an internal connection inside your computer that links two network interfaces.

not doing you much good if it can only send and not receive :D

still even with 5 NIC's the numbers still don't add up lol... maybe one NIC is networked to another Internally and that is your processor bandwith ;)

That's just going to be the bandwidth of your pci bus. It's not that big of a deal.

the bandwith of the PCI bus is definetly not 216Gbps. ;) I dont think PCIe is even 216Gbps. *

A GB is a gigabyte, a Gb is a gigabit. Likewise, MB is megabyte and Mb is megabit.

PCI: 133MB/s (33.33MHz x 32bits ÷ 8bits/byte = 133MB/s)
PCIe: 250 MB/s each direction, per lane. Therefore, a x16 PCIe slot would theoretically be capable of 250 x 16 = 4000MB/s or 4GB/s.

Meanwhile, EvilT's mysterious bus is 216Gb/s, which is 27GB/s (the /s or ps at the end of the unit means the same thing: per second).

Actually 16x is 8GBs well if you go for overall and not one direction, that's the only thing making it faster than 8x AGP. AGP is only 4gigs 1 direction and higher latency.

Right, the number I quoted (250MB/s) is per direction, per lane. Multiply by x16 and then again by x2 and you get 8GB/s.
