Still organizing my new computer. Went from w'98 SE on dead machine to xp on new one.

Downloaded HP jetprinter 3845 from HP website and printer won't work...doesn't even jiggle when I order printing.

Went to MS website to see whether it is compatible to XP and it wasn't listed.

Printer is about a year old.

Any advice on how to hook this up?

Computer says it's working fine but it isn't.

Thank you. LK

best bet is to remove everything.. and start over..

did you install driver before or after connecting printer ?

Does windows show that the device is working properly? Right-click on the printer in "printers and faxes" and go to properties and try to print a test page. A lot of the time, if you delete the printer and then just plug it in, XP will see it and install it automatically.

BTW, is it this printer?> http://www.pricescan.com/items/item161043.asp
