Ouch, $15.94 to ship for me, by ground!

Still, $24 for 2.5gb backup mp3 player isn't bad.

Wow, what a deal. With FM tuner, and voice recorder.

Ill have to see how the site rates on resellerratings, and see how the mp3 player rates too.

If it turns out to be a good seller, and a good product, I will probably buy it.

i got an idea, if this hasnt been posted on deal websites, lets wait until at least we get a tracking number, then we can let the whole world know. Then, if it is a price typo, we have SOMEwhat of a chance to get one.
oh yeah, also dont order like 100......hehe

I wouldnt recommend it. They already had 2 typos very recently they blamed on the 3rd party responsible for their site. Check out slickdeals, all the threads involving them get thumbs down.

currently says they have a few in stock.

I'M LIKE 5 DOLLARS SHORT IN MY CHECKING ACCOUNT ( just used the money in my checking to fix my truck ). and i havn't deposited any more money in!

argg...by the time i'd deposit money, and it gets into my account, this deal will be dead.

for 20 bucks, i'd use this thing as a portable HDD to take files to my friends house. Screw using it for music! ...well maybe for a few songs. :D

Yeah, some are left. I would try this it's just a price that low with a site that seems to have no reviews kind of turns me off.

well it's pretty damn ugly no wonder it's so cheap.

ghost_recon88
03-12-06, 12:36 PM
Just grabbed one since I don't have an iPOD. Man, I hate companies who ship via FedEx and UPS. USPS is soooooo much cheaper, yet these companies all use the freaking expensive FedEx and UPS. Seriously, it'd probably only cost $5 to ship via Priority, yet it costs $12 to ship through FedEx. Oh well, $20 for a 2.5GB mp3 playa ain't bad.

funny how i got all 7 left yesterday and as they were out of stock after my order... now they have more is tock. i'm waiting for my tracking number.

There is something fishy about this site, spent some time trying to figure out why I am suspicious. I wouldnt give them my credit card info as they have no resellerrating and the domain url is suspicious, as is their real time inventory count.

that would expain why i didnt see it at any of those sites

checked my email earlier and both orders were cancelled:(

here is my response:

well the price still hasnt been fixed so i can only guess that
correcting
the pricing error isnt as important as cancelling both of my orders, i
find
this very disturbing

i will now post the price "error" on some of the larger coupon sites so
you
can spend hours cancelling thousands of orders, you waste my time i
waste
yours

while i am pleased i was not charged, i will never order from your
company
again

enjoy the rush to your site in a few hours, good day sir

here are his replys:

Since you now posted this error you will be sued. We have disclamers on
our website that indicate the situation of pricing errors.

That was probably the stupidest thing you have ever done in your life.
Prepare for a serious lawsuit buddy.

LOL, i guess he is going to sue me for his error

What a total meathead, what I would do is start a Resellerrating eval for this vendor and include a synopsis of just your experience with them.

How? I need to refund myself as well.

I'm not afraid of anything, though... I watch my credit card all the time. You guys will be alright, especially b/c there are too many people they would be trying to scam, and one little company vs hundreds of us won't go anywhere.

I am still keeping an eye on my CC, but I just got this email from RadiantPC about 15 min ago:

This email is a general announcement. You are receiving this because you placed an order on our website in the last few days.

Due to egregious pricing errors, specifically for a $25.00 PC and a $7.00 MP3 player we are unable to process any orders for these items. Any transaction that took place online for these items was voided immediately. If you used Visa or Mastercard for this purchase you were not charged. If you used Paypal the amount of your purchase was refunded immediately.

We are currently seeking long term remedies that caused this problem in the first place. The magnitude and scope of this problem is very disheartening and we at Radiant PC would like to profusely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you have any questions concerning charges either with your credit card or Paypal you may email us at sales@radiantpc.com and we will promptly get back to you. Again all transactions were voided, no credit cards were charged and any Paypal amount were completely refunded.

An honest mistake, and they admit it. I really don't mind at all, as it happens all the time. There should be no reason to give them a hard time. :)

Ya know, along with those Newegg pricing typos, its beginning to appears as if this is another marketing strategy for online vendors.Simple: makea disclaimer not holding the company accountable for these "Mistakes", and suddenly you have a free pass to make pricing typos just to generate hits on your website. There's a good chance that people will also look at the rest of your stock, so you just make a legal way to illegally generate revenue.I wish someone would call the "Watchdog" on this type of stuff, or contact their local representatives and ask that legislation be introduced that would hold these companies accountable for their mistakes---wether its a legitimate mistake or a planned mistake. This really ticks me off--taking advantage of the little guy like that!

Alright, well then I'm infinitely boycotting them on Scooby's behalf. :)

I meant hearsay as in he could have typed it himself (not that I assume that anyways).

I had never heard of them until this thread, so they're not at much of a loss on my end.

Thank you for message.
I don't think my order have to be canceled because of you internal error. I would like for my order to be processed as advertised because it would false advertisement, against the law, to not take my order. You have to deal with your own personal malfunction and honor my order. I ordered & MP3's and I would to know when it will be sent to because I need them ASAP. I have worked as a general manager for years at one of the biggest retail stores in the US, and order are never canceled because there is a problem with your advertisement. I did put in my order with no problem on your website, and a receipt was given to me.
Thank you for your business and I hope to see my product ASAP.

I hate to say it, becuase it's not what anybody wants to hear. But Radiant PC didnt do anything wrong. They have no obligation to accept our orders. There is no law that says they have to.

The only thing Radiant is gulty of is having a butthead named Eric work for them. That guy has no business in customer service.

These mispriced "deals" pop up on here at least once a week. They're never honored. Let's just move on.

(BTW, I'm not going to leave a reseller rating. But if I did it would be positive, because in my PERSONAL experiance, not counting what happened to some of you guys, the whole experiance of ordering from them was professional, and they didnt cause me any hassles while canceling the order. And #1, IT WAS A PRICING ERROR! Whoop-te-do.)

On or around March 10, 2006 Radiant PC experienced drastic pricing inaccuracies on our website. This error was caused by our hosting provider and displayed ridiculous pricing on items. Unfortunately these items were not available at these prices and thusly all orders were cancelled and voided. Your credit card was not charged if you used Visa or Mastercard. If you used Paypal your money was refunded immediately. As much as we'd like to sell $7.00 MP3 players and $25 computers, we don't have these items at those prices.

We do have a policy, which you can read below concerning typographical errors in pricing. We truly apologize for any inconvenience and we are already working on remedying this problem long-term with our current hosting provider. You can email us at sales@radiantpc.com with any questions or concerns you may have and we will get back to you promptly. :argue:

03-16-06, 03:31 PM
I suggest we stop harassing them. They made a simple mistake for cryin' out loud.

You guys need to stop threatening them. I personally think this is becoming obsurd. If let's say 10,000 orders were put in, and the company would lose $50 on each purchase, do you think that's fair to take away $500,000 from a company for a SIMPLE mistake, and then cause them to go bankrupt? Do we have morals here?

Please, guys, think of your morals before you go nagging a simple mistake like this. That one response from the company that we saw here several days ago was bad enough.

I don't think anyone should have to submit negative feedback at resellerratings either, except for those directly affected by a foul email.

Everyone should speak for themselves... I still can't believe you guys would pursue getting the player at that ridiculous price. Instead of spending the time trying to win over this player at the advertised misprice, you could be putting overtime at your job and making even more money.

This thread should be removed if no one's been charged and not refunded back.

The guy didn't handle himself professionally, or intelligently, but to threaten legal action over an incorrect price for an mp3 player?

G-PHoRCe, would you seriously go to court for an mp3 player that's a piece of junk anyway? You just did the same thing the guy did by threatening something farfetched for the situation.

You know what? If it ****es you all off that much, don't shop there again. Just don't get so worked up over seemingly good deals. It's more his right to cancel orders based on pricing errors than it is your right to receive cheap stuff at someone else's expense.

g0dM@n
03-16-06, 05:30 PM
Thanks for the support, Brickout!! :)

I just don't want people going in the wrong direction here. Again, this is my opinion, but I'm just acting on my feeling of morals. NewEgg did this to me months ago, and they paid for shipping back, so I was cool with it.

Agreed. You can't be sued for their pricing error. All that statement does only allows them to get away from selling some stuff to you a a super low price (due to pricing error).

Everyone who bought this, please remember to check you credit. I will recommend you to call your credit card company NOW, and tell them about this situation. They can put a flag immediatly to this charge.
