change homepage? root?

well my page is setup like this in ftp

-chat
-forum
-mambo
-root-(not editable)

i want my mambo page to show up on the homepage, so do i just copy and paste all the files in the mambo folder into the place where those 4 folders are? is this going to cuase problems?

I'm guessing you're seeing random code because you've mixed up the URL and live_site fields in configuration.php
