didnt really know where to post this,

a guy i know, his psu went pop - you could press hte power button on the pc and get nothing, no isgn of liofe at all. all was fine before, he has a hp computer.

i replaced the psu, the computer will boot up now, as it enters windows you see the screen that says welcome, then all of a sudden for no reason the computer reboots.

hard drive damaged?

cheers

If its already at the frozen state, i guess you could call it quits and reinstall windows.

And if that doesn't work, then i would say its dead.

may have ram issues .. if it boots check out memtest86 and hard drive diag tools.. if both are fine try a repair on windows.. that doesnt work then re-install

my guess would be ram as i had a similar problem after our PSU blew. it took one of the 2 sticks of ram with it.
