I thought I saw an article about using 2 fans in tandem for cpu cooling on overclockers, one that inlcuded responses from tons of readers. Can anyone point me to where this might be??

Thanks in advance.

if you are talking about fan stacking dont, it dosn't help as the air comming off the fans is at 45 degrees and canot be 'caught' by the other fan, use fans spinning in opposite directions

Yes, I am talking about that, but all I am looking for is an article that I thought I read at overclockers.com.

Involved 3 different fan combos, the conclusion was that it's not effective -- but this provoked multiple responses from readers. Great discussion, but didn't have time to read it carefully. Now I can't find it -- can anyone help??

Yeah, I remember reading that one here, too. Let me go find it....

Ah, here (http://www.overclockers.com/tips336/) it is. It was under miscellaneous. :)

Hi Guys

Ihave just finished reading about fan stacking.

I have been doing something simular on my last system & on my latest system (Asus A7V266-E with Alpha 8045)

I have cut a hole in the side panel of my case exactly in line to the centre of the Alpha fan & installed an 80mm YS Tec fan, this has reduced my temps by 4C on both systems.
Both fans are blowing air towards the cpu.

Friends at work have also used this idea & they are all getting drops in temps as cold air is being forced straight onto the cpu area

Hope this helps your quest
