Very nice dude. What's the default voltage for the card and what volts are you going to go up to?

unmodded, the voltages were 2.15v Vdd and 1.33v Vgpu (2d voltage)
Modded, the voltages are 2.22v Vdd, 1.40v Vgpu (2d) and 1.5v Vgpu (3d).

as for how high i will go will depend on my state of mind at the timehttp://net7.info/1/sm/laugh.gif

how are the clocks at 1.5v? I'm kind of dissappointed that nVidia doesn't make the voltage software controllable like ATI's newest generation though. It can't cost that much more and I'm sure it is a trivial engineering feat. I managed to do my 7800gtx myself but it looks pretty ugly. Very clean, I am not good at soldering so I was just happy it still worked after I got done with it. I'd think you could do at least 1.53 or so without worrying about the lifespan of the card taking a hit.

That's beautiful! . . . I hope I might be able to do v-mods that clean one day. Like SuperFarStucker said, I'm just happy if my card still works once I'm done. :p . . . But it sure is exciting when you pull it off succesfully and start giving it the juice it needs to hit those big numbers. :D . . .

By the way, what kind of cooling are you going to use on that thing?

phase cooling has been and gone

been on air for some time

the memory is junk on this one but just to make it hurt the core will do 950
on air

wish you could change the ram chips on gfx cards

there is no point even trying to bench the 79gtx unless you can get the ram higher then the core

these cards dont come any where near the ati units out there

best nvidia now is the GT and the most fun class for benching
