WING COMMANDER FOR WIN XP?

Has anyone tried to get the old wing commander games to work in windows XP. Specifically, I'm looking at Wing Commander III and IV. I have the DOS and Windows versions of the games, but I cannot make them work in XP even with DOS Box.

Those are some great old games. Sometimes you can have good luck with them other times not what I recommend doing is creating a special shortcut for it. If memory serves me correct they used expanded memory a term that has long since been lost. Though you can make XP emulate it. if you create a DOS shortcut for the game.

Give DosBox + D-Fend a try.

Edit: I noticed that you mentioned you tried DosBox. :( What kind of problem are you running into?

Memory errors. Which is kind of weird. This DOS program worked with windows 95 and 98se as well as DOS.

Is there any way to set the memory settings in DOS Box to emulate this?
