First off what is the MHz rating on the 1800+ and also will it be worth upgrading from my 1.4 clocked at 1.575

the 1800+ is rated at 1.53ghz. I'd say just wait you have a great cpu and the 2000+, 2100+ should be out Q1 next year.

yeah thats what i was thinking:p 2001xp here i come! or maybe 2002 just to keep with the year:D
I don't think you need it! I would wait for a northwood. unless you can sell your chip for a good price then you would have a good reason to upgrade.

If you have a t-bird 1.4 already, you should just wait until they shrink the process to .13 next year. That should give a healthy increase in speed then. I don't think that they will get too much faster with their present chip because of heat issues if nothing else.
Don't bother.
Just wait till next year when AMD releases the Ponies (Thoroughbreds). They'll probably debut close to 2000 Mhz. (Actual Mhz, not PR)

I agree 100%. Yes, you will see a little bit of performance gain, but what's the fun of it, if you can't unlock it safely!:(
