Is it worth upgrading to SATA? I have two IDE NEC's right now, thinking about moving to a SATA RW also.

Their nice, but if your not replacing a broken drive or something then I woulden't bother with it.

The only "benefit" I can see is the fact that if you have 2 Opticals on the same IDE bus - performance will suffer (the IDE bus is tied up while the drive seeks, holding up the other drive). With SATA, this is a non-issue.

One MAJOR issue - I have heard you can not currenlty boot from SATA Opticals - but verify this.

Too much cash for little to no improvement otherwise IMO...
