Problems With Home Networking

I am running two computers over a router with WinME. They can both get on the internet, and even play halflife between them, but on my old machine, whenever I try to configure it to log onto the workgroup, I get a blue screen of death with a "VSERVER" Error. This happens every time i try to configure using home networking wizard, and windows thinks it's working properly, but it's not. PLz help if you can, if not, oh well... Thanks for your time.

Strange, Have you tried reinstalling your OS (what is it ). Thats the only thing i can think of now...

I know that will probly fix it, but alas, that is the computer with everybodies files on it, so till I get a burner, it's not gonna happen,,,,,,,,,,,wait a sec, could I add a second hard drive (an 8 gig I have lying around) and then......yes im sure i could..... cool. Sorry for the babbling.
