Hey everyone I've recently purchased a new machine and would like to overclock the FX-60 to 3.0. Ive never water cooled befor nor have I over clocked befor.

What I am looking to get out of this Post

1. What kind of settings should i use in the bios to reach this goal.
2. what king of cooling should i use
3. If water what type of water cooling kit/parts should I use (links greatly appreciated) to get everything to fit in my case. ( I will post picture)
4. If water will water cooling the Chipset be nessicary in this application? or will the Passive heat pipe solution be suffcient
5 If this can be done with Air cooling can it be done with the Zalman Cooler i allready have its a ZALMAN CNPS7000B

I am running the following[/img]
AMD FX-60
Asus A8n-sli Primium
corsair 3500LLpro (3500) 2-3-2-5 t1
Lian- LI 2000b plus

If i need to go the Water cooling route Im not looking to go CHEEP im looking to go reliable and suffcient and quiet.

If you need to know the rest of my hardware let me know here are the pictures of the system to know what you have to work with

getting everything in that case will be tricky unless you consider cutting a space in the top of the case for the radiator. However Swiftech has something called a radbox that lets you mount the radiator easily on the back side. your goal is to just cool the CPU, correct?

Definitely check this kit out: http://www.swiftnets.com/products/H20-220-APEX.asp

very good quality and very good performance.

1. Overclocking - I suggest do some forum research and you'll get all the answers you need.

2. Depend on how hard you want to overclock your parts.

3. I like the swiftech products and some Danger Den. E.g.
Blocks
CPU - Swiftech Storm
GPU - Swiftech MCW60
Chip - Swiftech MCW30

Radiator
Thermochill PA160, PA120.1, PA120.2 & PA120.3
Black Ice Pro or Extreme.

Fitting water in that case will be easy with or without modding.
Opt 1 - PA160 will fit nicely in the front lower chamber without any modding see here http://www.over-clock.com/ivb/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=14248&st=0#entry128335
and here http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=405243&page=1&pp=30

Opt 2 - PA120.3 will fit in the lower chamber floor see here http://www.over-clock.com/ivb/index.php?showtopic=14248&st=20&p=133147&#entry133147
or lower chamber ceiling see here http://www.frozencpu.com/cas-307.html

Opt 3 - Thermochill PA 120.2 will fit in the upper front chamber ceiling with a little modding see here http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=405243&page=2&pp=30 or similar here http://www.ocforums.com/showpost.php?p=4219275&postcount=8

4. Depends on how hard you will O/C. If not that hard a passive one will be fine.

5. Cooling temps won't be the same as with water.

I have the same case and love it. :)
