does anyone have some links on how to mod win2k, start menu and such??
thanks in advance
You could try something like Litestep (http://www.litestep.com) which is a shell replacement for most Windows OSes.
Could also use a search engine for something along the lines of "Windows shell enhancements" or "windows shell replacements".
There are literally tons of these out there.

Xteq System's X-Setup is an all purpose Windows 9X/NT/2K/XP modder. While it has the possibility of changing icons on your start menu, taskbar and the like, it's a great, easy to use, power tool (TheCAD, The Control Alt Del, said it's better than TweakDUI and I think so too).
It allowed me to easily configure Win2k for larger resources and have it use up all available RAM before creating a page/swap file. Also sped the NIC up a little bit.

Used to know how to find it in the UI format, now all I can find it is in the Wizards. So go to X-Setup Wizards, under System, in Memory Wizard. For some reason when it reaches the screen where it would let me check it for it to use up all RAM before swap file, it is greyed out. If that happens to you, disabling certain safety features in the Wizard Config should fix that.

yea, i tried that last night, and it said that is for 98 and ME only, so that's why it grey out.
