I am going to upgrade my motherboard (ECS k7s5a) to an epox 8kha+
and I want to get him a processor that I can oc to 266 FSB
specificly a duron
but I don't know exactly which one would be most cost effective
also a suggestion of which inexpensive HSF I could use for it would be nice

Do what ymNA said, and just go to pricewatch. There you will be able to pick from any kind of AMD processor you need. Your hs/f will depend on your cpu.

found a 900Mhz duron on newegg $50 with free shipping
that is also where I intend to get my epox
so now on to what HSF do I need to push this chip to 266?

That is alittle pricy
I was hoping for something under or around $20
or do you think that I could use my cooler master ep5-6i11
maybe with a delta screamer

I found this in one of the other forums and I think it will suit my needs
galaxy gc12 (http://store.yahoo.com/svcompucycle/galgccoolcb.html)
anyone bought it?

millenium glaciator is about $20, the original i mean. check out the reviews on the heatsink section of overclockers.com. friend has one and it cools his 1.4 tbird nicely ;-) thinkin of gettin the two myself. the main reason is its quieter compared to others like the sk6 w/ a delta or whatnot.
