View Full Version : 3dmark 06 marks seem low?

First post on this forum so a big hello to all. Just built my first system spec below, wanted to bench mark before strating to delv into o/c marks are also below and seem low to me what do you think ?

the 6600 is an older card... cant really compete with anything new. Kinda makes sense :(

Welcome rangersmith. Not sure if your card is AGP, or PCI-e (believe your mobo supprots both)but for agp cards there is an issue with AGP apeture size in bios that causes low scores. Not sure what you are to set appeture to, but you could try 128, 256, and 64 to see which one will bring the score up.

If your running PCI-e check drivers to make sure your running performance settings, instead of quality. Also make sure AA, and AF are set to off or application preference. Normal score for your system should be nearer to 1500.

I scored 1700 with a socket 754 + 6600gt AGP. You should be more closer to 2k since dual core owns in 06.

Well Mr. Ranger I just have to say that your lucky for getting the 6600GT to run 3dmark 06 mine kept kicking me out cuz it was running out of memory :p so yeah that score seems right
