After reinstall XP says it can't find my network card (which I don't have, I use the built in slot on my mobo?), and then it continually asks me for drivers for it. It's not a card and there are no drivers, so the whole XP plug and play thing is bs. I'll plug in the ethernet and I get visual conection on the modem, but not on pc. What do I do? The window saying "Ethernet card found. Search for drivers online? No internet connection detected" is funny though.

Also, anyone notice that XP is the smilie for dead w/ tongue out? Coincidence? I think not!

You need the drivers for it. What board do you have. It is probably a chip that isnt supported by Plug & Play. My Marvell onboard connection needed drivers.

It's a FIC AU-13. The connection is a Broadtech AC101L. I went to their site, no drivers. Unless I missed something, which I don't think I did.

I have that disc. Windows says the drivers needed are not on it.

EDIT: The help file says to look for CD-drive:\LAN\BROADCOM\4401\DRIVERS\WinXP but \LAN\BROADCOM isn't even a correct directory?

OH MY GAWD I'M GOING TO SHOOT THIS GUY! The guy that made our 2 computers gave us the driver and utilities disc for my Mom's FIC AU-11 only, not my AU-13. I feel the need, the need to cause pain.... If the new drivers off the site don't work I'll add something here. It might seem obvious but all the cd's say is FIC DRIVERS or FIC UTILITIES, no mobo type or anything.

I attempted to install the drivers on their site one by one to find the correct one for it, and none of them work. Any ideas on how to find out what driver I need?

Cmon people, help. I've tried all the drivers listed on FIC, the newest nVidia drivers, nothing works. I'm out of ideas
