Question/idea..

Ok so I am starting to get ideas together for the next system and had a question/idea for a slight variation of the gauges that many companies are using now.

MBM5 has a gauge system, using a LCD that is attached to the Case as nothing but a readout for things like MBM, Speedfan and Task manager. Im sure I am far from the first to come up with it but I just havent seen what I am thinking. Anyone have any links or ideas along this line?

I've seen small lcd screens (ie psone portable screens) installed with samurize and/or everest running. Looked alright on the front or mounted on the side window of a couple cases.

Yeah assuming that I get these older server cases(netserver LH3 cubes) I will be hacking one up a good bit and was planning to use a smaller LCD in it to give info on stuff like voltage, load activity info. Im assuming they are hooked up via a monitor cable to a lower end graphics or on board graphics card. Depending on what I decide to do I may get to have alot of fun getting this configured in my head and on paper before I even look at starting the build.

Try taking a look at this. (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=155&products_id=1404) I think it plugs into your computer via USB, and has programs/plugins to display different data.

Is a little pricey though...
