Hi, when i bought this card on Newegg, it didnt have any reviews, so i have a few questions about it. We currently needed a cheap card that could run bf2. What we came across was http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814164066
This card runs great, i overclocked the core speed to 480 but the memory can barley go up 20 mhz. (with stock cooling) The temprature is low and we are doing great with it. I was just wondering, what else should i know about this card? Will i come across a few bumps along the road with it or did i make a good buy? Please give me some more info about this card, so far so good.

Thanks, geno.

Honestly, you should have spent more to get a little better card. There are some good $99 deals going around now. It will run most games OK/low-res for now, but it'll choke on next-gen stuff. If you're looking to run BF2 well, how much ram do you have? You'll want at least 1gb, most are going 2gb for BF2 in particular.

BTW- welcome to the board! If you look around I'm sure you'll get a feel about what's a good and bad to buy. Stuff changes all the time.

Thanks for the reply. The computer we added the video card to only has 512 mb of ram and a 2.2 ghz amd athlon. It runs bf2 ok with low settings. The other computer we have has a geforce 6800 with 1gb of ram and still has to play on low, maybe becouse it only has a 1.7 ghz processor amd athlon.

BTW; the 6800 is a evga agp 350/600 i think. (horrible clock rates from what ive seen)

Adding ram will help BF2 a lot. 1.5 or 2 gigs is best.
