i heard it will come out next year and be clocked at 250-300 mhz and be three times faster than the kyroII and it has hardware t&l.......
Next Year!!! I thought it was coming out the end of this year!!! They're going to force me to buy Nvidia I guess
Is it worth getting a Geforce3??? I'm not an extrem gamer and wonder will a Geforce2 Ultra do the trick since they're about $100.00 cheaper
Yes the GeForce 2 Ultra is almost as good as the GeForce 3 .. Just alot of price difference and a very small difference in performance..
Hell I would want the GeForce 2 Ultra any day...
Chaos where do you live? I believe the Raedon 8500 is a 100 dollar difference from the GeForce 3 and GeForce is only an increase of 10fps.. 1fps=10 dollars I dont think so..
You habe choices use them wisely!

chaos, your geforce2pro should run anything thats thrown at it for at least a year or two, once Unreal2 and Doom3 come out then i would suggest going for a Ti200 or a 8500

Here's a few tidbits (http://www.theinquirer.net/16050105.htm) from The Enquirer...dated May 01. Finally, a hardware T&L unit, and 3 rendering pipelines!

Seems like a really cool card then. But then again what will cards be like in 1 year from now?

I think a lot of the success of the Kyro 3 is going to rely on games that continue giving advantages to Tile Based Renderers.
As long as programmers build games that are able to be broken into chunks and tile rendered as the STMicro chip does, the Kyro will probably continue to be a viable option.
Remember, the current Kyro 2 that has been beating the Geforce 2 GTS and Pro in benchmarks only has SDR memory. With a 64 or 128 Meg DDR Memory interface, I'd bet the card will be a screamer as long as drivers are up to par.
i really like my kyro II. cost next to nothing, and whacks a gts nicely in a lot of games.
i for one will be waiting very eagerly for the kyro III. i just hope they keep the prices down as they did with the kyro II.

I agree with both statements. I ditched the tiny stock fan on mine, just for security as I leave my boxes running 24/7. The Kyro 2 boards dropped in price like rocks when the Geforce 3 came out. If new cards from other vendors continue to release around the same time, the pricing should hopefully be great!
