View Full Version : Well, I'm goign to be the Gunea Pig with the King Kong Hi-Res edition

Once my 2gb Muschkin Extreme PC4000 RAM gets here, I'm going to be the Gunea Pig and post pics, video, etc. of the performance along with commentary. Gamespot just sorta brushed over it or that is, mentioned it in passing, and I haven't really found any other "reviews" of this edition of the game. It does have Starforce as far as I know (like the normal King Kong game) so I'm going to be dealing with that. Hopefully I'll be able to remove Starforce without removing the game :bang head

My RAM is sitting about 45 minutes from me in the UPS shipping hub, but it won't be delivered until Monday. I'm still going to install the game and hope my Raptor HDD + 1gb of RAM will make it playable until then :cool:

I think you will be bringing a knife to a gun fight. Might need more Horsepower to run that Hi res.

King Kong was shipped with STARFORCE PROTECTION!.
I refused to touch it, after I found out that the crappy demo version carried the protection also....... ... ... ...

You dont need loads of memory to play that game, you dont need a good system to play it ether, i downloaded the high res demo when it first came out and it ran fine didnt look like high res tho just looked normal.

You played the normal version, as there is no demo for the hi-res edition ;)
