I have a:

GA-7VTXE http://www.giga-byte.com/products/7vtxe.htm
Athlonxp 1800+
Watercooling
768 MB PC 2100 Crucial Ram

I need help on settings.

I'm thinking 160 FSB and a 12.5 multiplier

How much voltage??????
If your multiplier is set higher, do you have to or should you change the voltage? What about your fsb?

How does your FSB and stuff work with the PCI cards and the mobo dividers?

How high do I want my voltage?

12.5 multiplier:
My mobo can't change the multiplier so I was going to use this guide:

I had already unlocked the athlonxp, but I guess I'm going to just unlock mine now and change the multiplier on the chip.

That would be great you'll without a doubt need to ease into that setting but its a nice goal.

Its hard to say how much of an increase in core voltage you'll need with my Athlon 1.2 @ 1.85v (default is 1.75v) I can overclock up to 1.45 at 1.95v I cant really go any higher so the voltage increase isnt worth the extra heat in my opinion. You can just leave the voltage setting at default until you hit a road block. The increase in voltage will be needed anyway at some point no matter if your overclocking with your fsb or your multiplier.

How does your FSB and stuff work with the PCI cards and the mobo dividers?

Good question I hope someone answers this better then I will.

PCI runs at 33 AGP at 66 with the default fsb setting so as far as I understand this when you increase the fsb by one the pci and agp slots also increase by one mhz. The dividers just help you keep the PCI and AGP slots running at their optimal setting 33 and 66. So if you overclock the fsb so the slots run 33 mhz faster you can increase the the divider to bring those values as close to their default setting as possible.

How high do I want my voltage?

I'd say no more then 20% over default voltage. If you keep it cool I dont think its a problem at higher setting but unless you like buying new cpu's I'd say 20% rule is for you.

Did you win that mobo and XP?

Good luck with all of that overclocking and unlocking you XP.

I’ve got the same set up as you sept for a Athlonxp 1600+ I have had it up to 140 fsb but would like to get more by unlocking the chip but as we no our mobo does not support this just wounded how you got on and what results you got cheers:)
