i've installed the version 4.33's from the soyo website (am using a soyo board)... i ran 3dmark2000's default benchmark... and when it reached the 8th test... it suddenly kicked me out of 3dmark back to the desktop again... why's that?

but there has been no problems with games whatsoever...

can anybody give me an explanation as to why that happened?

thanx

thanx Try restarting your machine then run it again w/o opening anything. Did this happen after the installation of the 4.33s or did you fiddle with something else? Make a sig of your rig, just click on user cp. We need info on your system.

mabuhay! right... but we never use that word here... anyway, my rig is a...
p///-733
256mb cas2
soyo 7vba133 (via 698a northbridge)
tnt m64 (150/150)
sb live value
asus 52x cdrom
15 gig westerd digital 5400
DTS 17" monitor

it happend after i installed the new 4 in 1's... after i rebooted again... i ran 3dmark2k and it went fine... it added up a few 100+ points on my score... which i dunno where it came from coz before i that i also turned v-sync off... is there a connection?

right now, its doing fine... nothing weird happening in my pc... it doesnt lock up in games or gives bsod's... im just curious why 3dmark brought me back to desktop after i installed the new 4 in 1's...

via 4 in 1's enables agp turbo mode right? maybe that could be the cause of my problem? maybe the tnt2 cant handle turbo mode when overclocked?

When you install the 4in1s in "TURBO" it will enable AGP 4X if your card or MoBo supports it & it will also enable DMA. Maybe it was just a small glitch in your system that caused it or heat or little voltage or ..... you get the idea.

heat? it's never been a problem to my pc... i keep the case open... and i have a home made card cooler blowing across my acp and pci cards (plus an intake and outake fan, and a bay cooler)... so it's impossible that it is caused by heat... maybe a driver problem... or maybe it just ran for the first time and things were pretty much not in place... i dunno... thanks for the inputs though... i've learned something this day
