7800gtx s-video out?

well I bought one of these cards but the dvi-analog adapter was missing so I tried to use this with my tv but there is no picture going to the tv... I'm not sure if it doesnt send the signal unless you tell it to in windows or not

I tried to boot the computer and i dont get any beep codes or anything like this... so either the video card is dead or I simply need the dvi adapter

anyone have an suggestions to try before going out to get the adapter?

the video cards actually come with an extra Dongle, that has s-video and component outputs. If you are just plugging the s-video cable idirectly into the card, it might not work. What brand do you have? eVGA, BFG?

its an XFX.. and ya it has the dongle. it didnt seem to work for a while
after fiddling for about 40 minutes it just started working...
I just kept taking it out of the slot and putting it back in... also reseated the Maze 4 several times

seems to be ok now
