just bought this... and a small problem...
...i cant get it to start the game play.
The game will start to the menu fine, but if i try to start a new game (having not got past this point, i have no saves) then it almost freezes. the first soundclip is played in repeat, then dies, and very slowly (eg, about 1 frame per 10/15 seconds) the introduction video starts playing (it starts off of the night sky, i know that much!)
i have no idea why this problem would occur, i have played with the settings in the menu.
i have also updated my graphics card drivers (being Nvidia, they're generic, but my card is the FX5200 128mb, which it should still be playable on) and i have updated my soundcard drivers (audigy 2, seems the latest drivers for it were 2005) and lastly, latest free divx codec...
i have directX 9.0c installed, windows Xp with SP2. as far as i can see, it should run okay.
any idea's?
