Hey, At home I built an 800 mhz duron 100 fsb system for my grandfather, and it runs at about 122-129 degrees celcius...lol, j/k, farinheit. Anyway, were I work, their is a pentium 4 1.3 ghz 100 fsb system, and it runs at 100-111 degrees farinheit. why is the pentium running so much cooler? It does have a pretty big fan on the processor, which my grandfathers doesn't. Could that make that much difference?

Short answer: yes
Long answer: yes the duron is running pretty hot there, you could fit a bigger fan, or add more case fans, or just make sure the computer isn't like crammed into a corner too much.

Pentiums run MUCH cooler.
Also Durons can be hotter than T-Birds not because they make more heat but because the core is diff so the heat transfer is worse.
Don't worry about it.
