when sli is enabled there is an option in the nvidia options which says "when sli is enabled use" what setting should i set it to, to get best performance?

it is single gpu rendering rite as it uses both video cards together??

I'm not sure, try the different settings and test them out to see which yields the best performance ;)

That's what mine is set at. Dunno about the other selections.

yes i was wondering, i always assumed that multi gpu rendering would be better, but i recently downloaded the new tomb raider legends demo, and it played like c**p averaging 25fps, so i decided to use single gpu rendering and was getting around 70-90 fps.

ehh i leave it on SLI - auto

but i guess. i did play with it for awhile. just to see how much more FPS i could get in source. never got too much difference. so i really can't say.
