My nephew is taking an after school internet class and they're celeron systtems totaling 24 systems. Will try and get them folding, but I'll have to go thru the school's main system admin as the teacher can't give me permission I'm betting. Will find out their mhz shortly after class....yes I'm sitting in the class, but it doens't tell the mhz only that its an OEM celeron system.
Sounds great. I'm surprised that more schools aren't doing one or more of these projects, especially as part of an internet class. It really shows the usefulness and power the internet can provide at times and would offer a good topic for discussion for the class.

Ditto on Ploaf's comments. That would be grrreeeaat !!
Hopefully we'll see more members looking at avenues like that.
If the admins need info on the project, there is a good sticky in General Discussion that explains the project, etc. You could cut/paste/print it or whatever.
Good luck.

their celeron 700's
If i can get the whole system folding it'd be WAY sweet.... all the labs have these new computers thanks to a grant....there are quite a few schools run by this county and if by chance I could sell them it'd mean about 200+ celeron 700's....they'd only folding during school hours though, but still that'd produce quite a few WU's. Wonder if I could sell it a school sports competition? Can Black Fox out produce Michigan Ave? etc hehehe If could sell it as something like that maybe the kids would setup their home computers to help out their schools. And at the same time we'd dominate! MUHAHAHA!! :D wonderous dreams huh? We'll let you know when I find out more.

WOW !!! 200 celey's for a few hours would still RULE !!!
You are thinking on the right lines. Competition always makes things more interesting.
Good work and good luck.
