i now have some klipsch 2.1s, i wanted to try some 5.1 speakers with more bass then my klipsch's, so ive been seeing the logitech 5500's come up alot
havnt really read up on them but can it take an optical cable form like a dvd player and do dolby digital?
and how good is the sub?
does it get loud
compared to my klipsch what will i win/lose?
either its going on my comp or hooked up to my 360 in bedroom
Sound quality the logitechs can be rather mediocre, but for gaming, and boomy as hell bass that will shake your house, they are perfect for you.
And yes they do bolth DD, DTS, and analog 6ch input.
Compared to the Klispchs, you bass will not be as accurate, and you will lose some of the midrange definition.
Get a real HT set up, not a computer one. You will get much much better sound quality

for sound quality, the logitech 5500 is a downgrade from your klipsch, i completely agree with the above 2 posts, the only HT set up i would consider for computer speakers is the Altec Lansing ADA995 set since the 5.1 Klipsch doesn't have a very reliable amp

i dont want a big unit anywhere on my desk, so no HT

whoops, made a mistake, i meant the only NON-HT i would go for is the Altec Lansing ADA995's
