Hey my dell 2005 fpw recently started developing a shaded fuzzy line across the bottom when it warms up. almost like a long dirty smudge running across the bottom of the screen. (its not dirty, i cleaned it and it only shows up after the monitor has been on for a while.) Any1 experience this? Its a rev A02. But i already called Dell and they are sending me another one. I know it'll be a refurb, since I had it for months. Maybe I'll get a new rev. The one I have righ now has that DVI prob where it shows little waves on the left side of the screen @ 60Hz...so I have to run it at 60.5 Hz to clear it up.

can dell ever send a good monitor? I just got the replacement monitor and it has a dead pixel, so thats 3 out of the 4 they've sent me with dead pixels, stuck pixel with dead pixels and not to mention they all have that wavey line @ 60Hz, and need to run it at 60.6Hz to clear it up. I have bad luck with dell's I guess.

It seems like terran2k is in the minority. I am sorry to hear about his problem(s), but there are MANY happy owner of 2005FPW's...me being one. When dealing in the world of mass production every finished product is not going to be a gem. Dell is a good company that will take care of you if you are patient enough.

Yeah but I'm the type of person (aka ******) who couldnt live with a single dead pixel anywhere  in any case I might be picking up a 2405FPW in the future, we'll see...

I have the same monitor. I have had no probs. to date other than :santa: some minor light leakage for the first few days. That cleared right up though. Dell will work to keep you satisfied. If you call customer care and make an ass of yourself they will probably refund you some money for your trouble. My buddy does it all the time. LOL!

Im liking their 21 day return policy, i might have to take advantage of that sometime soon to test out the 2405FPW... [/offtopic]

Here at work , we have over 40 of the 2005FPWs , and all have been perfect since day one. I think its just luck of the draw....
